Seattle is home to a wide variety of museums. The Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) is where you’ll find permanent exhibits like the Bezos Center for Innovation and Maritime Seattle as well as a variety of temporary exhibits.
The KidsQuest Children’s Museum is a great destination for vacationing families. Hands-on exhibits at this museum include Cityscape, the Atrium Climber and the Story Tree. The littlest visitors will feel right at home in the Tot Orchard. You can even sign your youngster up for a workshop or a class where they’ll learn by doing.

As an affluent, diverse city, Seattle is filled with amazing hotels. Visiting families and vacation travelers frequently choose the Hyatt Regency Bellevue on Seattle’s East Side. It’s got the Bellevue Arts Museum just down the road. This venue houses a rotating assortment of special art exhibitions. The galleries are updated a few times each year. The hotel is also nestled right in a scenic vista of gorgeous lakes and mountains, but it’s just 9 miles from downtown Seattle.

If you make the trip to Snoqualmie Falls, you’ll remember it for years to come. This impressive waterfall is 268 feet high. You can hike to the base, explore the 2-acre park, or enjoy a picnic lunch in scenic surroundings.
Be sure to visit the Bellevue Botanical Garden while you’re staying in hotels near Bellevue Square. At this 53-acre park, you can stroll through a number of beautiful and creative gardens. These include the Rhododendron Glen, the Shorts Ground Cover Garden, and the Perennial Border.
You’ll find some of your favorite stores at Crossroads Bellevue. This is the place to go for housewares, sporting goods, craft supplies, or clothing. Crossroads also has restaurants, a movie theater, a fitness center, and a WiggleWorks Kids indoor playspace.
For boutique and specialty shopping, make Old Bellevue your destination. This downtown district features charming brick walkways and has an assortment of stores and eateries. If you like Asian food, you’re in luck as there are some amazing Japanese and Vietnamese restaurants.
