Here I’m sharing my insane experience of 5 Days Golden Triangle Tour India that will allow knowing the best of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur and their heritage sites.
I choose my 5 days Golden Triangle Tour Package from one of the popular travel companies in India called Leisure India Holidays and my journey started from the middle of October. Here is how I experienced these 5 days in India.
Day 1: Delhi Arrival – Delhi Sightseeing
The first day of my 5 days Golden Triangle Tour India was our early morning arrival at Delhi international airport. Later my travel agent dropped me to my hotel and asked me to get ready for the Delhi Sightseeing tour. After checking-in the hotel and finishing my breakfast we went for the Delhi sightseeing tour. We’ve explored the most popular sites of Delhi such as Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar – the tallest minaret in India, Jama Masjid – The largest mosques in Asia, India Gate – The war memorial of India, Red Fort – the Finest example of anciant Mughal architecture, Raj Ghat – Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, and Parliament House. We stayed around 45 minutes to 1 hour at each destination including an hour of lunch.
Later, we were moving to our next Golden Triangle destination which is Agra so, we went back to our hotel and checked-out. After arriving at Agra, I checked-in my pre-booked hotel and stay overnight there.
Day 2: Agra Sightseeing Tour
So, it was the second day of my 5 Days Golden Triangle Tour Itinerary and we were going for the Agra sightseeing as my travel agent said. We began our day by exploring the magnificent Taj Mahal which is known for its creative architecture and elegant beauty. It was made by the famous Mughal emperor Sah Jaha for his favorite wife Mumtaz. Later, we visit Agra Fort which is also made by Sah Jahan and counted in the finest examples of Mughal architecture. Like we visit Itmad-ud-Daula mausoleum, Mehtab Bagh, Akbar’s Tomb, and Lotus Temple and stayed around 1 hour at each place. We have also enjoyed the most delicious lunch in the middle of sightseeing at the lively streets of Agra.
After spending the whole day in Agra sightseeing, my travel agent dropped me to my hotel again. I had my dinner and stayed overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Transfer to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri
While driving to Jaipur, The travel agent took me to Fatehpur Sikri which is located around 35-40 kilometers from Agra. Fatehpur Sikri is also one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture and built by the Mughal emperor Akbar in the 15th century. We spend around 2 hours at Fatehpur Sikri and later continue our drive to Jaipur. After arriving at Jaipur, I checked-in to my hotel and spent the remaining day enjoying the hotel’s hospitality such as swimming, spa treatments, etc. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Jaipur Sightseeing Tour
On the 4th day of my 5 Days Golden Triangle Tour India, my tour representative called me and told me to get ready quickly as we are going for the Jaipur Sightseeing Tour. So, after finishing my breakfast, he picked me up from my hotel and took me to the first destination called Amer Fort. The fort is situated end range of Jaipur (around 11 kilometers from the main city). I enjoyed an elephant ride while climbing the fort and spend 1.30 hours at the fort. Later, we moved on to the other destinations one by one which includes Jal Mahal – The Water Palace, Hawa Mahal – The five-story palace of winds, City Palace Museum – The home of Mughal armory, and Jantar Mantar observatory. Get to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 5: Back to Delhi for Departure
As it was the last day of my 5 Days Golden Triangle Tour, my travel agent picked me up from the hotel for a drive to Delhi. He dropped me at Indira Gandhi international airport from where I took a flight to my onward destination.
