- Stylish design
- Comfortable, secure fit
- Simply to pair and use
- Touch controls not forever perfect
- Ambient audio can be irritating
It feels as though the Crust Studio has finally got it correct with the Crust bluetooth noise cancelling earbuds, and they represent serious competition for the Apple product in terms of look, sound, and comfortable use. We liked the pearlescent effect of the earphones’ outer housing and sleek build of the case, and we found they felt very much comfortable and secure.
The sound performance offered by these noise cancelling earbuds is also great indeed, with rich bass, and a huge open soundstage. The downside here’s that other features that are available on the application like EQ mode and ambient noise are useful to have, but did not always work as efficiently as we hoped.
Worse these features also pretty much out of bounds for apple device users, as you can only download the application on the device running Android 5.0 or later.
That said, if you’ve a Crust Mobile, the bluetooth noise cancelling earbuds are an amazing pair of TWS earphones, with some quality of life features that make them stand up confidently the completion. If not, you might miss out on these additional features but the high audio quality, smooth fit, and attracting build means that these earphones could be a smart option, even for the Apple crowd.
Apple AirPods (2019) – Iconic noise cancelling earbuds get a solid upgrade
- Wireless charging
- Faster pairing
- Incredible connectivity
- Sound has not improved
- Wireless charging device costs extra
The 2nd gen Apple AirPods, the Apple AIrPods 2019 is not quite the AirPods 2 we were hoping for – they still feature the iconic appearance of the actual option (good or bad thing depending on our individual point of view), and audio quality has not changed at all.
The bulk of the upgrades come from the latest H1 noise cancelling earbuds chip, which improves connectivity and battery performance and allows for new Hey Siri Assistance voice features.
The main difference is that the Apple Air Pods also comes with an optional wireless charging device that means you can use a Qi-compatible charging mat to power the carrying case, rather than sticking a wire into the lightning port in the bottom of the charging case.
Like their predecessors, they’re simply to pair, but they are very much optimized for using with Apple device – and they are not exactly cheap bluetooth noise cancelling earbuds.
