After all we’ll be showing our nicest bikinis and nail varnish that are just as juicy as raspberries! 1. Do a detox before and during

A juice cleanse is the perfect way to let your body take the time it needs to detoxifies itself from all those toxins. It gives your digestion a break and allows for the elimination of accumulated toxins. The energy that is normally needed for digestion is now freed up to heal your metabolism, clear up your skin, give you energy and make you more concentrated. Say goodbye to excess weight and sugar cravings, and hello to skyrocketing energy, radiant skin and overall wellbeing. Detoxing also has a positive effect on your mind and soul. It gives you a chance to get back to your roots, relax and focus on the important things in life. Not only will you feel much better after the cleanse, you will also most likely have the strength to stick to healthy eating habits.

2. Have a balanced diet

If it’s not already the case, it is time to eat healthy. There is no magic trick to get a healthy body, it all starts in our plate. Let’s eliminate saturated fats from our everyday meals, as they increase our level of cholesterol and go straight in our hips and thighs (gooosh). To ban from your diet : fast foods, creams, cakes, butter and chocolate (you can eat one square or two of dark chocolate, it won’t hurt no one… Will it?) Exchange your morning cereals for a nice chia seeds pudding or a fruit salad with fresh bread.

3. Tutti fruity

Add berries to your daily meals. A few blueberries, strawberries or raspberries mixed into a smoothie or in an acai bowl is always better. Once a day is the perfect solution! Rich in antioxidants and fibres, all those berries help with reducing the level of cholesterol but also prevent against any cancer diseases.

4. Drink water (and juices)

HYDRATED! It’s this summer’s word; it should be in the back of our mind all year long as we tend to forget it. DRINK, DRINK, DRINK! But be careful on your choice; avoid any fizzy drinks that are way too sugary. Coffee isn’t a great idea either, unfortunately. The ideal would be to drink 1 ½ to 2 litres of water per day. Adding a nice fresh juice every morning is the perfect combo.

5. Get cookin’

Eating healthy might be easier if you are the one cooking for yourself! Often we eat take away lunch, such as sandwich or industrial salads that are high in calories and not really good for us. A tip? When you are cooking your supper for you or your family, just think of making a bit more so you can take it with you the next day. Easy peasy and you’ll now from that moment on what’s REALLY in your plate 😉

6. Alcohol diet

Of course I’m not suggesting that you have to ban alcohol from your life. It is more a tip on how to drink it, go for a spritz or fruity sangria instead of a heavy redbull vodka or rhum coke cocktail. A good glass of wine or a cold beer after a long day is always nice, just chose wisely…

7. Bedtime

A good night of sleep is the best medicine for a healthy body and mind. Even if you’d like to stay up all night long during those summer evenings, it’s always better if you keep a regular schedule. GO to bed not too late and wake up early, the sun we’ll be waiting for you. Think about leaving your phone and electronic device alone before bedtime, a good book or chat is the best solution. And you’ll see the difference.

8. Exercise!

Cool morning breeze and light temperature in summer are just the perfect opportunity for morning workouts. Just pick a sport, running, Nordic walking, biking, swimming, hiking, anything. And go out and do it. If you do yoga, do it outside. If you do fitness, do it in the fresh air. With your family or friends it’s always nice to exercises together, not only you will feel better afterwards but it’s also a good excuse to spend quality time together.

Enjoy a nice summer with all your loved ones. Take time for yourself and try to relax. We’re already looking forward to all those colourful smoothies, acai bowls and other exotic delights!
