Being addicted to social media or the Internet in general can lead to insomnia. If you spend a lot of time in the evening scrolling new or watching Youtube content, your brain can’t have sufficient rest.

Additionally, the light from your smartphone interferes with melatonin production. Melatonin is a hormone that is responsible for sleep. Your brain perceives light from your smartphone as daylight and doesn’t boost melatonin production. That’s why you should stop using your phone or tablet at least an hour before bedtime. 

4. You have an uncomfortable mattress

Too rigid or, on the contrary, a soft mattress can make you look for a comfortable pose for sleeping till the morning. In addition to poor sleep, you may get back pain and neck stiffness. If you want to sleep like a baby, it is essential to choose a more comfortable mattress. It should meet all your requirements and contribute to healthy sleep.

Stress is a great problem for modern people since it contributes to many psychological and physical issues. When you are stressed, it may be extremely difficult or even impossible to fall asleep on time. You may lay with your eyes wide open and think about the problems that make you stressed.
