Since we were little kids, we have dreamt about meeting our prince charming that will dazzle us and sweep us off our feet. We have pictured the whole fairytale setting, the ceremony, the dress, the guests… I know that I have always imagined that my wedding will be held in Sydney, which is my home town. Fortunately, I had the luck of finding the most amazing venue right here. Although my wedding reception and the whole celebration were an unforgettable event, the whole process of planning that one special day was a bit time consuming. So in order for you to plan the perfect wedding setting, there are certain things you need to keep in mind. Here are a couple of things you need to consider that I have learned along the way.

The first thing after making a budget list is searching for the venue. In my case, it was quite challenging as Sydney has so many amazing restaurants and venues, so picking out the perfect one was not an easy task. The best wedding venue should reflect your needs and whishes.
The size of the venue depends solely on the number of people that are going to be invited. Other than that, the general theme of the wedding should be considered. Also, will it be an outdoor or indoor wedding plays a huge role in deciding on the perfect place.
Another very important thing that should be on your mind is the number of guests that are going to be invited to the event. The amount of people coming is a crucial factor as it determines a lot of other things such as the venue, the food, drinks etc… This is why this part should be planned carefully. Another important thing is of course the invitations. This should be one of the first tasks on the to-do list.
Perhaps one of the most exciting things for new brides, when it comes to organizing their special day. The most important thing to know is that there is no universal perfect dress. The look of the gown depends solely on your personal preference. Will it be a princess gown or a mermaid style, a plain dress or with embroideries, lace and similar things, depends completely on your liking. Also, it is important to think about the bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dresses.
In this category fall all other things that every bride-to-be should keep in mind. This means the type of the music that will play, will it be a dj or a band. After that, consider a good photographer. I had an amazing experience with choosing the perfect wedding photographers in Sydney who did a splendid job with our pictures. Last but certainly not least, the food and drinks. Consider making a buffet table with various dishes so everyone could find something for their liking. The cake should be decorated so it would match the venue.
When it comes to drinks, beside the regular beverages, a cocktail stand is always a nice addition.
Organizing an event as big as a wedding can become overwhelming at certain moments. The key is to remain a positive attitude and to value the most important things. After all, in the end, it is not the venue or the food that you will remember, but the people that were there and your prince charming beside you.
